Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist at the Westmont outpatient site. You will determine techniques, position patients, operate radiology equipment and ensure safety and quality control.
The role includes documenting patient history, coordinating with radiologists, and maintaining proper records and coding. Requirements include AMA-accredited radiology education, IDNS licensure, and CPR certification.
Department: 05500 AMG AOC Westmont Blackhawk - Radiology Status: Part time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 20 Schedule Details/Additional Information: this is for Westmont outpatient. Working every other week end 8am to 12pm. and 4 to 8 during the week days. Pay Range $26.55 - $39.85
Major Responsibilities: Determination of appropriate radiological technique and position for patient using immobilization and support devices.
Operation of advanced and sophisticated radiology equipment.
Adherence to all accepted safety standards and practices to ensure patient safety and quality patient care.
Coordination of quality control tasks.
Provision of instruction and orientation to new technologists to effectively participate in the assessment of their performance reviews.
Education/Experience Required: Graduate from an accredited AMA School of Radiology. IDNS license. 1-3 years experience as a general radiographer.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Knowledge of Health Information System. Basic knowledge of radiology equipment. Certified in radiology and registered by ARRT. CPR certification Licensed by IDNS.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Able to make independent professional decisions pertaining to high quality patient care. High degree of technical skills Must be able to function with minimal assistance in performing job activities. Ability to deal with extremely ill patients. Ability to lift and/or move patients. Ability to work under stressful conditions, in difficult situations. May be exposed to hazardous materials and life‑threatening diseases. Ability to work rotating shifts during Centers hours of operation. If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case‑by‑case basis.
