Advocate Health seeks a part-time Radiology Technician for the outpatient XRAY department at Park Ridge, IL. You will determine radiological technique, position patients, operate radiology equipment, and ensure safety standards.
Responsibilities include preparing patients, programming technique, documenting exams, coordinating workflows, and maintaining room readiness. Must hold IDNS license and ARRT registration, CPR certification, and knowledge of health information systems.

Determination of appropriate radiological technique and position for patient using immobilization and support devices. Operates radiology equipment appropriately.
Adherence to all accepted safety standards and practices to ensure patient safety and quality patient care.
Coordination of quality control tasks.
IDNS license. Graduate from an accredited AMA School of Radiology Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Knowledge of Health Information System. Basic knowledge of radiology equipment. CPR certification Licensed by IDNS. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists registered (ARRT)
Able to make independent professional decisions pertaining to high quality patient care. High degree of technical skills Must be able to function with minimal assistance in performing job activities. Ability to deal with extremely ill patients. Ability to lift and/or move patients. Ability to work under stressful conditions, in difficult situations. May be exposed to hazardous materials and life-threatening diseases. Ability to work during site hours of operation. If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
