Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer X Ray Contents Examiner in Indianapolis, IN. The role focuses on safeguarding clients, screening personnel and materials, and maintaining secure operations at a logistics and distribution site.

Key duties include monitoring access, reporting security concerns, and staying visible to provide excellent service. Prior security-related experience and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds are preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related screening procedures and policies.
• Screen personnel, packages, freight, and/or vehicles in accordance with established procedures for a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, shipping documentation, and authorized entry as applicable.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
