Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in related field.
• Working knowledge of MLA and APA styles.
• Proficiency with Teams, Outlook, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Must be available for weekend hours.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Must be positive, cooperative, and supportive.

Responsibilities

• Help tutees develop study skills and acclimate to college level coursework.
• Writing tutors meet with students or read submitted papers to aid revision and understanding.
• Drop‑in Writing tutors maintain and operate the Writing Tutoring forum in Microsoft Teams and meet with students through video chat to discuss papers.
• Email inbox duties involve annotating assignment drafts and answering questions.
