Job summary

Advantage Surgical and Wound Care is seeking a Part-Time Wound Care Specialist to provide bedside wound care in the post-acute setting, 1–2 days per week in Jacksonville, FL.

You will round at multiple facilities, collaborate with staff, and educate teams while maintaining patient-centered care for geriatric patients. This role includes hands-on wound care, debridement, and coordination with physicians and families.

Qualifications

• Active state professional license required.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, paying special attention to factors that increase the risk of wound formation.
• Collaborate with facility staff to ensure an effective wound care plan.
• Perform wound debridement and prescribe appropriate wound dressings.
• Educate nursing staff, and maintain open communication with primary care physicians, families, and clinical teams as required.
• Order necessary medications and provide clear instructions for their use.
• Provide quality patient care to the geriatric patient population.
