Job summary

Advantage Surgical and Wound Care is seeking a Part-Time Wound Care Specialist (1-3 days/week) to serve the Augusta, ME region. You will round at multiple facilities within a designated territory and provide bedside wound care in post-acute settings.

The ideal candidate holds an MD or DO with an active license; board certification is preferred. No on-call duties, with competitive compensation and full administrative support.

Qualifications

• Active state medical license (MD/DO)
• Board certification preferred (Family Practice or Internal Medicine)
• General Practitioners welcome to apply
• Valid state driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and coordinate wound care plans.
• Collaborate with facility staff to implement effective wound care strategies.
• Perform wound debridement and prescribe appropriate dressings.
• Educate nursing staff and communicate with primary care physicians and families.
