We limit unnecessary treatments and hospitalizations, coordinating with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.

We are seeking a Part-Time Wound Care Specialist for Augusta, ME (1–3 days/week) to perform bedside wound care, rounds at multiple facilities, and education of staff in post-acute settings.

Qualifications

• Active state medical license (MD/DO).
• Board certification preferred (Family Practice or Internal Medicine).
• General Practitioners welcome to apply.
• Valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Weekday commitment: No call, evenings, or weekends.
• Deliver wound care at the bedside in post-acute care settings.
• Round daily at multiple facilities.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments with focus on wound risk.
• Collaborate with facility staff to implement wound care plans.
• Perform wound debridement and prescribe appropriate dressings.
• Educate nursing staff and coordinate with primary care physicians and families.
• Order medications and provide usage instructions.
• Provide quality care to geriatric patients.
