Job summary

Chattahoochee Technical College invites applications for a PT Adult Education ESL Instructor at the Adairsville Plant Workplace Site. The position runs Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00am to 7:15am with a commitment to fostering a respectful, inclusive classroom and adhering to college policies.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree required in a course of study related to the occupational field.
• Teaching and classroom management experience in a classroom environment at the secondary or post-secondary level.

Responsibilities

• Deliver effective instruction in reading, writing, speaking, and listening as well as in ESL Civics, workplace skills, and American culture.
• Teach lesson plans and prepare instructional materials for classroom use.
• Provide learner guidance to students, orient and monitor progress, and encourage lifelong learning.
• Evaluate students’ progress and report results to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare and maintain required documentation and administrative reports.
• Maintain a secure classroom environment and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Demonstrate professional commitment, adapt to change, and participate in staff development.
