Job summary

Texas Southmost College seeks WTCE Adjunct trainers to teach Workforce Training and Continuing Education courses on a part-time basis. Instructors will develop curricula, schedule continuing education, and teach at various times and locations, including evenings and weekends.

They will advise students on career and program matters, provide timely access through electronic communication, and strive to improve student success with high-quality instruction and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Teach program specific Workforce Training and Continuing Education courses.
• Develop curriculum for specific selected classes as needed.
• Collaborate with the Workforce Training and Continuing Education Director to develop continuing education schedules.
• Teach courses at a variety of times and locations, including evenings and weekends.
• Advise students in career and program matters.
• Provide timely, quality access to students through electronic communication or other appropriate methods.
• Manage learning environments by ensuring syllabi are accurate and attendance/grades are submitted.
• Deliver effective instruction with rigor and quality, using the college's digital learning solution.
• Enhance learning by integrating real-life scenarios and interdisciplinary applications.
• Collaborate to develop measurable learning outcomes and assess student growth.
• Support institutional effectiveness and student learning outcomes (SLOs).
• Attend the workplace regularly and complete required training.
