Job summary

Qualifications

• Familiarity with web content best practices, including accessibility and usability.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with demonstrated attention to detail.
• Ability to organize and present information in a clear, user-friendly manner.
• Ability to format and publish content, images, links, and documents within the WordPress CMS.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building the USM's new WordPress website by supporting the migration and development of content.
• Assist with page creation and page layout updates in WordPress by formatting text, images, links, and basic styling using pre-established templates and patterns.
• Write, edit, and proofread website content to ensure clarity, accuracy, good organization, and consistency with brand voice.
• Collaborate with internal teams to translate existing content into well-structured web pages and migrate them to the new site.
• Optimize content for readability, accessibility, and search engines.
• Review pages for errors, formatting issues, and broken links.
