North Atlantic Corp. is seeking a part-time, 20–27 hour per week worker in Somerset, MA.

The role involves cutting, ripping, and gluing domestic hardwood to exact specifications for the linear rough mill, following cut lists and production schedules, and maintaining accurate material records. Responsibilities include coordinating lumber and materials to meet the production schedule, measuring precisely within 1/32", and ensuring safety and 5S standards are followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English with good communication skills.
• Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to transfer measurements to production pieces within 1/32".
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work with concrete variables.
• Quality-focused and detail-oriented.
• Team-oriented with experience working in a shop environment.
• Willingness to work overtime, including some Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Cut, rip, and glue domestic hardwood to specification for rough mill production.
• Coordinate lumber and materials to keep rough mill on schedule.
• Work from cut lists and production schedules; flag discrepancies for foreman.
• Measure accurately and transfer measurements within 1/32" of the target.
