Job summary

Alvernia University in Reading, PA seeks an Assistant Women's Bowling Coach (Part-Time) to support the intercollegiate athletics program in line with university, NCAA, and MAC guidelines. The role reports to the Head Coach and assists in program administration.

The ideal candidate will have coaching or playing experience, solid knowledge of NCAA Division III rules, and CPR certification. The position emphasizes recruiting, team development, and upholding the university's Franciscan mission.

Qualifications

• Prior coaching and/or playing experience (preferably at the collegiate level).
• Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules.
• CPR Certification required.
• Commitment to the mission, core values, and goals of Alvernia University.

Responsibilities

• Directs and organizes all aspects and responsibilities of the assistant coach as indicated in the Coaches Manual.
• Assist in recruitment and retention of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes.
• Represent and/or carry out the duties of the head coach in his/her absence.
• Maintain understanding of NCAA and MAC rules and report violations immediately.
• Pass the NCAA Division III Recruiting Test.
• Promote Franciscan ideals and adherence to the Mission of the University.
• Attend mandatory meetings and training sessions.
• Contribute to the overall success of the intercollegiate athletics program by performing other duties as assigned.
