Ramapo College of New Jersey is seeking a part-time Assistant Coach for basketball. The role reports to the Head Coach and involves supervising practices and contests, recruiting academically and athletically qualified student-athletes, and ensuring compliance with Ramapo College, NJAC, ECAC, and NCAA rules.

The position requires evening and weekend work, a valid New Jersey driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualificações

• NCAA Coaches exam must be passed with 85%
• First Aid / CPR / AED certification
• Driver's license valid in New Jersey
• Background check and driving record review required
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

Responsabilidades

• Instruct student-athletes in basketball skills and monitor academic progress
• Conduct practices and contests within Ramapo College, NJAC, ECAC, and NCAA rules
• Develop season, monthly, weekly, and daily practice plans
• Recruit academically and athletically qualified students
• Coordinate travel and drive college vans
• Collaborate with Athletic Trainer on injury prevention and conditioning
• Maintain equipment distribution and use, and supervise game-day setup
• Contribute to camps, clinics, and outreach programs
• Maintain rapport with college community and alumni
• Raise funds in coordination with Institutional Advancement and Athletic Director
