Meridian Health Services is seeking a WIC Dietitian for part-time roles in Wells and Adams Counties, Indiana. The role is 21 hours per week, with Mondays & Tuesdays in Wells County and Wednesdays in Adams County.

You will provide nutrition counseling, promote breastfeeding, and coordinate with the INWIC MIS system to support eligible clients. The ideal candidate holds RD status or is eligible to take the credential exam and has a degree in Dietetics or Nutrition.

Qualifications

• Must hold RD credential or be eligible to sit for the Dietetic Registration exam.
• Degrees in Dietetics/Nutrition required (BSc or MSc).

Responsabilités

• Display a positive reflection of the Indiana WIC Program in clinic and through outreach.
• Develop working relationships with staff and community partners.
• Maintain a compassionate clinic environment addressing community needs.
• Promote breastfeeding as the normative infant feeding method in the clinic.
• Provide evidence-based breastfeeding education and support.
• Follow Indiana WIC program policies and procedures.
• Provide information to clients about Medicaid and social services.
• Document information in INWIC MIS to complete certification and education.
• Complete nutrition assessments and tailor education and referrals.
• Lead group education classes and maintain related records.
• Document assessments, education, and referrals in INWIC MIS.
• Create food prescriptions appropriate to client needs.
• Schedule appointments using INWIC MIS.
• Ensure confidentiality of client information per regulations.
• Attend in-service meetings and conferences as required.
