Zusammenfassung

Meridian Health Services is seeking a part-time WIC Dietitian to join our Wells and Adams County Indiana sites. The role supports the Indiana WIC program, providing nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and patient counseling for pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding clients.

The position runs 9:00am-4:30pm on Mondays and Tuesdays in Wells County and 9:00am-4:30pm on Wednesdays in Adams County, totaling 21 hours per week.

Qualifikationen

• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential or eligibility to take the CDR exam
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or Nutrition Sciences
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Aufgaben

• Display a positive reflection of the Indiana WIC Program in the clinic and through community outreach
• Develop working relationships with staff and community partners
• Maintain a compassionate clinic environment and support breastfeeding as the normative infant feeding method
• Provide evidence-based breastfeeding support and education to pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding clients
• Complete nutrition education and counseling within INWIC MIS and document assessments and referrals
• Schedule appointments in INWIC MIS and ensure confidentiality of client information
• Lead group education classes and maintain related files and records
• Attend required in-service education, staff meetings, and off-site conferences as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Ausbildung

Registered Dietitian; or Registration eligible to take the exam for the Commission on Dietetic Registration; or Bachelor's or master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or Nutrition Sciences

Valid driver’s license
