Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC - Univ) is seeking a Part-Time Member Services Ambassador to greet members, support wellness activities, and handle guest services and transactions at the member services desk. Flexible shifts include mornings and evenings, with a minimum three full shifts per week.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, safety compliance, lobby maintenance, and assisting with cardio/weight room activities. Training provided; MUSC students given priority.

Responsibilities

• Greet members at the member services desk with a strong commitment to help improve the health and wellbeing of members and guests 25%
• Help create a culture of wellness by role modeling healthy behaviors; provide excellent customer service; and provide tours for guests and prospective members 15%
• Process point of sale credit card transactions including selling guest passes and memberships; inputs transactions in the member management system 10%
• Uphold safety and cleaning policies and clean equipment 10%
• Manages the lobby area to ensure that it is clean and organized; contacts housekeeping as needed 10%
• Answers member questions, provide assistance to participants in the Cardio, Weight Room, and other fitness areas 10%
• Offer new member equipment instruction 5%
• Serve as Program Assistant as needed and complete all required training 5%
• Performs opening and closing operational procedures as needed 5%
• Performs other duties as required 5%
• Pay rate $16.75 per hour
• First Aid and CPR/AED Training provided
• Priority will be given to MUSC Students.
