Job summary

Vivvi is seeking a Part-time Head Teacher for their new child care center in Liberty, NC. This role focuses on the well-being and development of children aged 0-5, fostering a nurturing learning environment through innovative curriculum and positive engagement.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a licensed child care setting and will hold relevant NC Child Development credentials. Vivvi offers competitive compensation and a supportive work atmosphere aimed at professional development.

Qualifications

  • 1-2+ years of experience working in a licensed child care center.
  • 2+ years of experience with children aged 0-5 in a licensed child care center.
  • Ability to lead parent-teacher conferences and communicate effectively.

About The Role

As a Part‑time Head Teacher, you'll:

  • Ensure the well‑being and development of the children in your classroom
  • Dream up rich, thematic units that foster children's curiosity and help them achieve key individual and age‑appropriate milestones
  • Lead planning and implementation of inquiry‑based activities and curriculum tailored towards children's developmental growth
  • Engage with and enrich children using positive language, loving care, and interactive play
  • Proactively communicate with parents regarding their children's development and growth
  • Closely supervise children and adhere to robust health and safety protocol

  • Have 1-2+ years of experience working in a licensed child care center capacity
  • Have 2+ years of experience working with children aged 0-5 within a licensed child care center, including expertise in creating original lesson plans, leading parent‑teacher conferences, and effectively liaising with families about children's development and milestones.
  • Hold a NC Child Development Credentials I and II, Associates Degree in ECE or Child Development (Preferred)
  • Value and create strong relationships with families, children, and faculty
  • Possess excellent leadership skills including the ability to define goals and motivate staff towards success
  • Value and create trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues
