Personalized Nursing LIGHT House is seeking a Part-Time Group Therapist to facilitate recovery-focused group sessions for adults with substance use disorders. The position is based in Madison Heights, with potential coverage at other Southeast Michigan locations.

Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a related field and a CADC or equivalent certification. The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, collaboration with the treatment team, and a flexible weekend schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field required.
• CADC, CADC-DP, CADDC, or MCBAP Development Plan required; coordination assistance provided.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and group facilitation skills.
• Basic computer skills required; willing to learn internal systems and documentation processes.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between PNLH locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate therapeutic group sessions in a safe, respectful, and structured environment.
• Assess client needs and participation levels and adjust content as clinically appropriate.
• Encourage engagement, manage group dynamics, and promote healthy interpersonal interactions.
• Develop and implement group topics, activities, and psychoeducational content aligned with treatment goals.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of group services and client progress.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to support continuity of care and client progress.
• Support a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented treatment environment.
• Travel between PNLH locations and provide coverage as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
