Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a General Labor team member for our Tennessee facility. This part-time role (up to 30 hours weekly) focuses on production support, packaging, and ensuring safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

You will follow SOPs, operate lifts, assist with line changeovers, maintain clean work areas, and help audits. Candidates with a high school diploma and good math/English skills are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 1 year of work experience.
• Preferred: Experience in food manufacturing or warehousing.
• Strong math and computer skills (SAP a plus).
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Excellent attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and efficient production support (hand-stacking, case packing, housekeeping, product conveying, reclaim).
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) precisely.
• Set up packaging coders and validate product codes.
• Identify and report out-of-specification product conditions.
• Perform equipment adjustments using hand tools.
• Operate a lift truck safely to move materials.
• Complete production records accurately and neatly.
• Assist with equipment changeovers, CIP/SIP, clean-up, and setup.
• Perform environmental controls and product reclaim/rework.
• Package and stack products.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Follow all safety, GMP, and food safety procedures.
• Cross-train with other departments.
• Maintain clean work areas.
• Uphold Saputo's Code of Ethics and Company Values.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
