Job summary

Greater Akron Chamber seeks a part-time Web Developer to maintain and update the design and information on the organization’s websites. The role emphasizes front-end coding, navigation design, content distribution, site analytics, some graphic design, and a strong focus on user experience.

This temporary twelve-week assignment is up to 25 hours per week, based in Akron, OH, with periodic telecommuting as appropriate. Collaboration with Marketing is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in graphic design, marketing, communications, liberal arts or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in front-end web development, web design, digital marketing, or related experience.
• Strong understanding of responsive website design and accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple websites representing various business entities and initiatives.
• Create visually compelling, user-centered web layouts aligned with brand standards and accessibility.
• Ensure branding consistency, messaging, and user experience across websites.
• Maintain web standards, templates, and design systems for scalability.
