Job summary

Fastenal Co. is hiring for a part-time Unit Load Picking position at our Indianapolis distribution center. You will pick and pack orders, use scanners and printers to label products, and weigh items as part of a pallet-level goods-to-person workflow. The role supports efficient routing and accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The job offers a flexible schedule after onboarding, with evening and weekend shifts and a focus on health, safety, and sustainability in day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or over, due to the nature of work.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills.
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented.
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
• Work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed.
• Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

Responsibilities

• Picking orders and packing product using a pallet level goods to person system
• Operating computer programs, scanners and printers to label product
• Using a scale for weighing product
• Maintain the cleanliness/organization of work area
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
• Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings
