Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Modesto, CA is hiring part-time Picking at our 4025 Finch Rd distribution center. You will pick, pack, label, and move products to the next department using RF scanners and a scale.

The shift runs Mon-Fri 12:30pm–6:30pm with up to 28 hours/week. No relocation, entry-level with on-the-job training and EHS compliance required. Responsibilities include accurate picking, packing, labeling, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace while following health and sustainability rules.

Qualifications

• Age 18+ (legal age for the role).
• Proficient written and oral communication skills.
• Motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail, sense of urgency.
• Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders and pack product accurately.
• Operate RF scanners and printers to label product.
• Use a scale for weighing product.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
• Follow health, safety and sustainability rules and objectives.
