Job Summary

As a Gordon Restaurant Market Part Time Warehouse Associate you will accurately and efficiently select Gordon Food Service products for customer orders. Follow designated pick lists, select items from the correct locations, properly label, and place on pallets for shipping. Operate a gas or electric forklift in and between departments, buildings and the ground, and load pallets of products onto trailers according to the load diagram or by customer.

Responsibilities

• Read batches of printed case labels to select customer orders efficiently and accurately.
• Retrieve product from designated selection slot, using a powered industrial vehicle and a radio‑frequency scanner.
• Affix labels to cases in the appropriate manner and location.
• Place product on pallets using a pallet jack.
• Maintain proper batch sequence.
• Deliver product to the assigned shipping lane on time.
• Position forks, lifting platforms, or other devices under, over, or around loaded pallets and transport loads to the designated area.
• Inventory materials on the work floor and supply coworkers with materials as needed.
• Inspect trailer interiors for cleanliness.
• Load pallets onto trucks or trailers in proper sequence per computer‑generated load sheet, and stack product on trucks when necessary.
• Secure pallets with load bars or load straps.
• Maintain refrigeration units at the proper temperature.
• Complete housekeeping activities daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Must be able to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment requiring constant walking, ascending/descending stairs or pallet‑jack platform, bending, reaching, lifting and carrying.
• Must read, write and communicate in English.
• Must work independently or within a team environment.
• Must adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
• Must obtain Powered Industrial Vehicle certification at hire and maintain it during employment.

Requirements

• Must immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms and horns used to warn employees of the startup, movement or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks and other equipment).
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
