Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate supports the operation functions of the warehouse. Responsibilities include receiving incoming freight, checking for damages or shortages, distributing materials, filling orders, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The role also involves coordinating deliveries, maintaining safety and cleanliness, and supporting warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Receive and inspect incoming freight.
• Distribute materials to proper stock locations.
• Fill special orders and backorders.
• Coordinate with departments, carriers, and vendors on discrepancies.
• Check and pack materials for delivery.
• Understand truck routes and coordinate deliveries.
• Maintain shipping equipment and work area safety.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and proper labeling.
• Maintain vehicle condition and logs.
• Operate equipment safely and adhere to regulations.
• Support warehouse operations and communicate inventory issues.

Non-essential Functions

• Assist customer service functions such as order entry, returns, and Will Call.
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks and delivery to customer sites.
• Report maintenance, repair, or security concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Preferred two years of work experience.
• Experience in warehouse distribution, forklift operation, and electrical products is a plus.
• If driving, must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, and possibly a medical certification.
• Knowledge of Windows, Internet, email, and SAP is advantageous.
