New York Edge is seeking a Volleyball Specialist to provide targeted, age-appropriate instruction and mentorship to youth in after-school programs. You will organize and lead volleyball activities, ensure safety, and follow the curriculum.

The role is part-time, 9-15 hours per week, with afternoon hours at the Brooklyn site. You will collaborate with the Program Director and Center staff to plan activities, promote participation, and support student development.

Qualifikationen

• Must be knowledgeable and skilled in Volleyball and have prior experience successfully teaching and instructing youth.
• Prior experience teaching and instructing youth preferred.
• Must be able to follow a curriculum.
• Must be responsible, reliable, and punctual.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

• Motivate students to be active daily.
• Instruct participants on activity principles, techniques, and safety procedures.
• Organize and lead physical activity programming at the site.
• Ensure safety rules and maintain order among students.
• Prepare facilities for group activities.
• Evaluate activities to determine if they are effective.
