Job summary

UpBeat Music & Arts in Chicago, IL seeks a part-time Youth Voice Teacher to provide in-person 30-minute voice lessons at the studio, with occasional piano accompaniment.

The role covers theory, technique, performance and composition, uses engaging exercises, conducts progress assessments, and helps coordinate curriculum and student feedback for ages 8 to young adults.

Qualifications

• 1+ year teaching experience.
• 4+ years music education and/or training.
• college-level music education preferred; not required
• proficiency in voice performance
• ability to accompany on piano
• strong understanding of music theory
• a passion for working with youth

Responsibilities

• $27+ per Hour, based on experience
• 1099 Position

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The new vocal instructor will primarily focus on individual voice lessons. If candidates are interested in piano or other instruments, a small additional student base may be provided.
