The Environmental Studies Department has a strong core of dedicated faculty and a commitment to liberal arts education, enabling meaningful collaborations among faculty and across courses. There are no employee benefits associated with this part‑time visiting faculty appointment. Compensation for teaching one course in the Fall semester is $8,000. The College will not support H‑1B applications that require the $100,000 employer fee.
Candidates must demonstrate commitment to and excellence in undergraduate teaching and inclusive pedagogies, informed by current practice and scholarship in the field. A J.D. is preferred. Candidates should also possess relevant professional experience in the practice of environmental law or policy making.
