The Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (USDB) invites you to consider an enjoyable and gratifying employment opportunity as a Vision Aide/Driver in Springville. Travel to Salt Lake and surrounding areas is required.

This is a part-time nine-month position with a 29–30 hour workweek. Responsibilities include transporting staff, supporting instructors, preparing materials, tracking progress, and assisting with student development in academic and skills areas.

Qualifications

• Practical knowledge of basic classroom techniques and organization.
• Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions.
• Excited about working with students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Drive a car or passenger van for transportation of staff.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and rules.
• Prepare teaching materials and tutor students under supervision.
• Communicate student progress to the instructor.
• Assist with behavior interventions and support in a classroom environment.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Design and prepare teaching materials and devices.
