Job summary

Alliance Animal Health in Nashua, NH is seeking a part-time front-desk role focused on compassionate client service and efficient triage for our veterinary team.

You will greet clients, assist with questions, and help triage concerns while promoting a fear-free experience for our animal patients. The position requires empathy, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a busy clinic.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of veterinary industry experience required.
• Compassionate, calm, team player, multi-tasker, and strong communicator.
• Highly organized and possesses computer skills.
• Excellent reading/comprehension/legible writing skills.
• Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome clients and patients personally by name, answer questions, and triage concerns.
• Observe signs of fear, anxiety, and stress in animal patients and promote a fear-free experience.
• Answer calls, emails, and texts with solutions to client questions and concerns; triage medical concerns promptly.
• Offer clients compassionate emotional support during times of need; comfortable with various medical outcomes.
• Withstand unpleasant odors and noises; may be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Job description

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Greet and welcome clients and patients personally by name, answer their questions, and triage concerns.
• Observe signs of fear, anxiety, and stress in animal patients and offer solutions to promote a fear-free experience.
• Answer incoming calls, emails, and text messages with solutions to client's questions and concerns about their pet(s). Recognize and triage medical concerns so urgent needs are addressed in a timely manner.
• Offer clients compassionate emotional support during times of need; must be comfortable with various medical outcomes.
• Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.
