Job summary

Crossroads Veterinary Clinic in Three Rivers, MI is seeking a part-time Veterinary Assistant to join our AAHA-accredited small-animal hospital. You will grow clinical skills, build client relationships, and contribute to high-quality patient care.

LVT students are welcome. Expect 2–3 VA days and 1–2 CSR days, with rotating Saturdays and benefits including medical, vision, and dental coverage, plus mentorship and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Strong communication skills essential.
• Proficiency with patient restraint.
• Venipuncture experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain and document patient histories.
• Comfortable discussing core vaccines vs lifestyle vaccines.
• Ability to explain importance of preventatives.
• A team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient histories.
• Discuss core vs. lifestyle vaccines with clients.
• Educate clients about preventatives and their importance.
• Perform proficient patient restraint.
• Perform venipuncture.
• Assist with treatments, diagnostics, and procedures.
• Support doctors and technicians with patient care.
• Provide compassionate care to patients and families.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment.
