Qualifications

• Previous experience in a veterinary hospital or equivalent setting.
• Surgical and anesthesia monitoring experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and assist in appointments with doctors.
• Take history from client; perform physical assessments and record observations.
• Educate clients on preventive care and provide follow-up.
• Communicate patient or client concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Perform venipuncture, run in-house labs, and relay results to owner as directed.
• Provide nursing care and monitor patients as directed by veterinarian.
• Admit and discharge patients per protocols; educate on admit/discharge.
• Clean and restock rooms and wards; restock supplies as needed.
• Maintain practice software for dispensing meds, patient food, and labels.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and hospital safety standards.
• Perform client callbacks and updates; other duties as assigned.
