PetVet Care Centers is seeking a Veterinary Assistant for Sun Valley Animal Center in Ketchum, Idaho. You will support veterinarians and technicians with daily patient care, surgery prep, restraint, and clerical work in a collaborative hospital environment.

The ideal candidate has veterinary experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for patient safety and high‑quality medicine. Full‑time schedule with weekday and some weekend shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous veterinary clinical experience preferred.
• Strong animal handling and patient-care skills essential.
• Excellent communication and teamwork are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and owners, weigh patients and record vital signs on arrival.
• Triage patients, assist with examinations, treatments, and medications under supervision.
• Support doctors and technicians with anesthesia, surgery, and recovery.
• Maintain medical records and hospital cleanliness.
• Promote hospital products and services and assist with client education.
• Contribute to a collaborative, professional hospital environment.
