Job summary

Compassionate Friends Homecare LLC is seeking a part-time Caregiver in Medina, OH to support clients with activities of daily living in their homes or care facilities. You will assist with bathing, dressing, meals, and mobility, while monitoring health and reporting changes to supervisors.

This role emphasizes safety, dignity, and compassionate, person-centered care. Minimum qualifications include a HS diploma, caregiver training or equivalent, CPR/first aid knowledge, and ability to pass

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a certified caregiver training program or equivalent experience in personal care.
• Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR certification.
• Ability to pass background checks and comply with state and federal regulations for caregiving.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to maintain personal hygiene and comfort.
• Provide medication reminders and support adherence to prescribed treatment plans under the guidance of healthcare professionals.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are respected.
• Perform light housekeeping duties including laundry, cleaning, and organizing to maintain a safe and healthy living environment.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation and promote mental well-being.
• Monitor clients’ physical and emotional condition, documenting observations and reporting any significant changes to supervisors or healthcare providers.
• Assist with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to prevent injury and promote client independence.
• Coordinate transportation and accompany clients to medical appointments, social activities, or errands as needed.
