Job summary

Oak View Group (OVG) seeks a dedicated Housekeeper for the Arthur R. Outlaw Mobile Convention Center. The role ensures clean, safe, and guest-ready spaces for events, staff, and visitors, indoors and outdoors, with flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The position is on-site with a pay rate of $12.00–$13.00 per hour and part-time benefits such as a 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching. The posting remains open until November 20, 2026.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping/janitorial experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and lift moderate weight.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine custodial and cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, trash removal, and floor/carpet care.
• Clean, restock, and maintain restrooms to meet health and safety standards.
• Clean and maintain interior and exterior surfaces, including glass, furniture, sidewalks, entrances, terraces, and other assigned areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all public and staff areas.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown to ensure spaces are clean, orderly, and guest-ready.
• Safely operate housekeeping equipment such as vacuums, floor machines, and carpet cleaners.
• Monitor and report safety hazards, maintenance needs, and supply shortages to the supervisor.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and safety guidelines at all times.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
