Job summary

University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center (UM BWMC), part of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), is seeking a 0.4 FTE Vascular Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP). The role supports vascular surgeons and the care team with inpatient and outpatient management, pre/post-procedural care, and care coordination.

Ideal candidates are experienced NP or PA with Maryland licensure and vascular surgery exposure, able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical

Qualifications

• Current MD licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Maryland or eligibility for Maryland licensure.
• National certification as an NP (Family, Adult, or Acute Care) or NCCPA certification for PAs.
• Clinical experience in vascular surgery, surgery, interventional radiology, cardiology, or acute care preferred.
• Ability to manage complex patients in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable working within a collaborative, physician-supported practice model.

Responsibilities

• Managing inpatient and outpatient vascular consults and follow-ups
• Providing pre- and post-procedural patient care, assessment, and education
• Collaborating closely with vascular surgeons, APP peers, nursing, and other clinical staff
• Supporting care coordination and clinical decision-making for complex vascular patients
• Assisting with ongoing management and continuity of care for the vascular patient population
• Contributing to quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives
