The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is hiring a Part-time Van Driver for the Potter County MH/ID Unit. This role supports the safe transportation of consumers to medical and social program appointments and requires a valid PA driver’s license.

Focus on safety, confidentiality, and customer service as you operate county vehicles, perform basic inspections, and assist passengers. This part-time position offers up to 18 hours per week with no telework option.

Qualifications

• One year of employment which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
• No suspension of driver’s license within the last three years.
• Residency requirement for Pennsylvania (Potter County preferred).
• Veterans’ preference may apply for eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Drive safely and legally in accordance with state traffic laws.
• Navigate the local area using general knowledge of routes and landmarks.
• Inspect automotive equipment to identify signs of defective operation.
• Assist consumers during transport and provide basic information about riding in county vehicles.
• Protect all consumer information and maintain confidentiality at all times.
