Job summary

Bay Aging is seeking a part-time Van Driver for New Kent & Charles City Counties, VA. The position supports Bay Transit passengers with safe, timely rides to work, medical, and other activities. Reports to the Regional Transit Operations Supervisor.

The job requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license with an excellent driving record, and the ability to read maps and interact with passengers courteously. Flexible schedule, some evenings/weekends may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record.
• Ability to read a map and navigate service area efficiently.
• Interact with passengers in a courteous and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Pick-up and drop-off passengers as scheduled.
• Maintain passenger safety and assist passengers as needed.
• Maintain communication with dispatcher via radio/tablet.
• Follow route manifests and adapt to changes when instructed.
• Keep the bus clean inside and out and handle fare paperwork.
• Complete time cards accurately every day.
