Job summary

Bay Aging is seeking part-time Van Drivers for the Bay Transit service in Warsaw, VA. Duties include picking up and dropping off passengers, assisting riders with entry/exit and wheelchairs, and maintaining a clean bus while reporting to the dispatcher.

The role requires a valid license and a strong safety record, plus the ability to use an electronic tablet and two-way radio. Salary is $16.25 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional night/weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record required.
• Ability to read a map and communicate with passengers clearly.

Responsibilities

• Pick-up and drop-off passengers as scheduled.
• Assist passengers entering and exiting the bus and with wheelchairs.
• Maintain safety by ensuring seatbelts are fastened and routes followed.
• Communicate with dispatcher via two-way radio and tablet.
• Collect fares or transit tickets and complete paperwork.
• Maintain a clean bus interior and exterior and complete time cards daily.
