Job summary

Family Service Association in Fall River, MA is seeking a reliable Van Driver to transport participants for Adult Day Health Programs. This part-time role offers 30+ hours per week with a pay range of $18.00 to $19.00 per hour, Monday through Friday on a split shift from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Qualifications

Experience with elders or the disabled (ADH).
Maintain a valid driver's license with good driving record/proven vehicle safety.
Safely push, pull, load, and unload participants needing wheelchairs.
Work well in a team and communicate effectively.
Pass preemployment drug test and enroll in drug testing consortium.
Complete and maintain CPR and First Aid certification.
Experience driving commercial vehicles preferred.

Responsibilities

Transport participants according to safety rules and DOT regulations.
Ensure safety equipment is present, secured, and stocked for each route.
Assist participants entering/exiting vehicle and escort to destinations with proper safety.
Secure walkers, canes, and wheelchairs in the vehicle.
Ensure passengers wear seatbelts and wheelchair restraints at all times.
Complete daily pre/post-trip vehicle inspections.
Follow maintenance protocols and report service needs.
Maintain daily route logs and participant attendance.
