Job summary

Porters Neck Village is seeking a hospitality-focused Utility Worker/Dishwasher to join our team. You will handle dishwashing, pot washing, and general kitchen cleaning to maintain high standards in our Culinary Services Department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to understand direction in English.
• Ability to walk/stand for the full shift.
• Ability to lift up to 35lbs and push/pull carts and trays up to 100lbs.
• Minimum of one year restaurant/senior living or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify at all times Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and organizational efficiency.
• Set up the dish and pot washing area.
• Prepare for dish washing and wash pots, dishes and utensils.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment and work surfaces; mop and sweep as per schedules.
• Empty trash containers as required.
• Assist with meal deliveries and delivery process as needed.
• Work buffet line as needed.
• Train in prep cook area as time allows.
• Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and orderly work area and follow safety procedures.

Porters Neck Village is recruiting for a hospitality focused Utility Worker/Dishwasher to join our team! This position is responsible for a number of kitchen activities including pot washing, dish washing, general cleaning duties and storing food and non-food supplies in the Culinary Services Department. The Utility Worker/Dishwasher position is responsible for maintaining a superior level of quality service and cleanliness at all times.

This position is part time and pays $15/hr. Friday - Sunday schedule.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Dishwasher:

• Exemplify at all times Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and operational organization.
• Sets up the dish and pot washing area
• Prepares for dish washing and washes pots, dishes and utensils.
• Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces and other areas of the kitchen including mopping and sweeping, according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Empties trash containers as required.
• Assist with meal deliveries and delivery process as needed.
• Works buffet line as needed.
• Trains in prep cook area as time allows
• Maintains standards for personal appearance and cleanliness, maintains orderly, safe, sanitary, and secure work area at all time and follows all established safety and quality control procedures.

• Ability to walk/stand for 100% of the work day
• Ability to life and carry up to 35lbs independently and push/pull carts and trays weighing up to 100lbs
