Job summary

Friendship Village Kalamazoo is seeking a compassionate Utility Worker to join our culinary team. The role involves dishwashing, pot and pan washing, and general cleaning while supporting food service operations in a Life-Care community.

The position offers flexible scheduling, benefits, and no late nights, with a starting pay of $15.00 per hour. This is a full-time or part-time opportunity designed to help our residents and team thrive.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Must read, write and speak English; understand measurements and basic conversions; perform basic arithmetic; follow written and oral instructions.
• Some bussing/dishwashing/general cleaning or stocking experience preferred but training provided.
• Ability to plan and organize work and interpret instructions and standards.

Responsibilities

• Sets up dishes and pot washing areas.
• Scrapes, scrubs and prewashes pots, pans, utensils and dishes.
• Loads and runs items through the dish machine.

Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll be doing each day as a Utility Worker:

• Sets up dishes and pot washing areas.
• Scrapes, scrubs and prewashes pots, pans, utensils and dishes.
