Job summary

EIMCo is seeking a mechanically minded production worker to operate assigned equipment and follow specifications and blueprints in a manufacturing setting.

The role requires maintaining accurate production records, adhering to 5S and PPE policies, and communicating any quality concerns to supervision. Overtime may be required, and the position is safety-sensitive with drug screening and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical background with machine operating experience is preferred.
• Formal education or training may substitute with demonstrated competency.

Responsibilities

• Check with designated lead person on job assignment.
• Produce parts on assigned equipment according to specifications and requirements.
• Unload and package parts according to standards and customer requirements.
• Complete accurate daily records for every job in ERP and on Shop Travelers.
• Follow instructions from Shop Traveler, Inspection Sheets, and blueprints.
• Inform quality control and shift supervisors of any problems with parts.
• Perform inspections to ensure product quality per the Quality Manual.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and comply with 5S procedures.
• Wear PPE and follow safety policies; report hazards immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Check with designated lead person on job assignment.
• Produce parts on assigned equipment according to specifications and within acceptable production requirements.
• Unload and package parts according to EIMCo standards and customer requirements.
• Complete accurate daily records (date, times, quantities of parts ran, and scrap) for every job worked on, on Shop Travelers and in the ERP system.
• Follow instructions from all EIMCo documentation, including: Shop Traveler, Inspection Sheets, and blueprints.
• Inform quality control, shift supervisor/ lead person of any problems or concerns with parts.
• Accept responsibility for the quality of products/services provided and perform all required inspections in accordance with the EIMCo Quality Manual.
• Perform required preventive maintenance on equipment, watch and listen for abnormal conditions, and report any concerns to maintenance and/or shift supervisor/lead immediately.
• Maintain assigned work area in a clean and orderly manner and comply with all 5S procedures.
• Conduct all tasks and behaviors in a safe manner and comply with all EIMCO Safety Policies, including the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, as outlined in the EIMCo Safety Manual.
• Maintain all required documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A mechanical skills background with machine operating experience. Formal education or experience may be substituted with training when competency in the position is demonstrated.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This is a safety-sensitive position. This work is performed in a manufacturing setting with moderate to high levels of noise due to machinery and equipment processes. This position requires the use of personal protective equipment for safety compliance and may include overtime as deemed necessary by management.
