Job summary

Accura Engineering seeks a Part-Time Utility Coordinator to support transportation and roadway projects in the Atlanta, GA area. You will act as the liaison between designers, utility agencies, and project stakeholders, managing utility coordination across GDOT projects from concept through construction.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, communication, and project management skills, with experience in GDOT processes and utility agreements.

Qualifications

• 7 years of transportation experience in construction inspection, design, or utility coordination.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and scheduling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between designers, utility agencies, and project owners.
• Conduct and document utility coordination meetings, including minutes and follow-ups.
• Maintain records of all utility coordination activities.
• Communicate status updates to project teams on coordination progress.
• Manage pre-construction utility coordination for GDOT projects across design phases.
• Administer utility coordination on Design-Build and Local Government projects.
• Develop and process utility agreements and lighting agreements.
• Perform prior rights research and assist GPASS/GUPS administration.
• Provide training for GDOT Districts and State Utilities Offices.
• Support complex engineering and environmental analyses as needed.
• Supervise field staff and manage project delivery, budgets, and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety guidelines.
