Job summary

Accura Engineering seeks a Part-Time Utility Coordinator to support transportation projects in the Atlanta, GA area. This role acts as a key liaison between designers, utility agencies, and project stakeholders, managing coordination from concept through construction.

The ideal candidate brings extensive utility coordination experience, strong leadership, and the ability to manage schedules and compliance while delivering project success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years in transportation, construction inspection, design, or utility coordination.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build and sustain client relationships.
• Willingness to develop business from new and existing clients.
• Office-based with occasional field site visits.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between designers, utilities, and project owners.
• Document utility coordination meetings with minutes and follow-ups.
• Maintain records of utility coordination activities.
• Provide status updates to project teams on utility coordination.
• Manage pre-construction coordination for GDOT projects from concept to final design.
• Administer coordination for Design-Build and Local Government projects.
• Develop utility, contract item, and lighting agreements.
• Prepare memorandums of understanding and rights research.
• Support GDOT GPASS/GUPS electronic permitting program.
• Develop training for GDOT Districts and State Utilities Offices.
• Perform analyses for complex engineering and environmental projects.
• Demonstrate field supervision and project management competencies.
• Mentor staff and manage large tasks, budgets, and deliverables.
• Communicate results, budgets, and schedules to clients and teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies.
