Job summary

UrgentVet Hospitals is seeking veterinarians to join our Prosper, Texas clinics offering after-hours urgent care for canine and feline patients. We operate single-doctor shifts with emphasis on wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia.

Our paperless clinics feature cloud EMR, digital x-ray, and IDEXX in-house labs. The role focuses on relationship-based care, collaboration with the clinical team, and community engagement, with opportunities for internal LevelUp

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from AVMA-accredited college or equivalent.
• Active license to practice in the state of employment or eligibility to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach
• Collaborate and engage with the clinical team and leadership
• Grow relationships within the practice and the Dallas community
• Encourage the growth of support staff members through our internal LevelUp training program
• Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments during our open hours

We offer after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our single-doctor shifts offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.

Skills Knowledge, and Expertise

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited college (or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program)
• Active license in good standing to practice in the state in which candidate will be employed (or the ability to obtain a license in that state)
