Job summary

American Family Care is seeking a compassionate Part-Time Urgent Care Physician to join our patient-focused team in West Chester and Malvern, PA. This role offers flexible weekday, evening, and weekend shifts, with opportunities to manage acute illnesses and injuries in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Active Pennsylvania medical license (or ability to obtain).
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine.
• Current DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and minor injuries.
• Perform comprehensive medical assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Order, interpret, and review diagnostic testing, including laboratory studies and X-rays.
• Perform urgent care procedures such as wound care, laceration repair, splinting, I&D, and foreign body removal.
• Provide patient education on diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and preventive care.
• Collaborate with APPs, radiology techs, and clinical staff.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the EMR.
• Promote a positive patient experience while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Adhere to organizational, state, and federal regulations.
