Job summary

American Family Care West Chester is seeking a compassionate Part-Time Urgent Care Physician to join our patient-focused team in West Chester, PA and Malvern, PA. The role offers flexible weekday, evening, and weekend shifts in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate treats patients of all ages, manages acute illnesses and injuries, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team while maintaining excellent work-life balance through flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Active Pennsylvania medical license (or ability to obtain).
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine.
• Current DEA registration.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Ability to see patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses and minor injuries.
• Perform comprehensive medical assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Order, interpret, and review diagnostics including labs and X-rays.
• Perform urgent care procedures (wound care, laceration repair, splinting, I&D, foreign body removal).
• Educate patients about diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and prevention.
• Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers, Radiologic Technologists, and staff.
• Ensure accurate EMR documentation in a timely and compliant manner.
• Promote a positive patient experience while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements.
