Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience in Hospital, Primary Care, Emergency Department, or Urgent Care setting preferred.
• MA certifications accepted: CCMA, CMA, CMA (AAH/CHP/CHP), RMA, NCMA, NRCMA, ARMA.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient registration, verify insurance and eligibility.
• Process co-pays and schedule patient appointments.
• Assist with referrals to Specialists and answer patient questions.
• Prepare patients for examination and record medical history.
• Perform point-of-care testing and provide results to providers.
• Stock supplies and maintain exam rooms and reception area.
• Open/close duties, cash handling, and daily controls.
