GoHealth Urgent Care in Pennsylvania and neighboring areas seeks a Medical Assistant to support urgent care operations. You will manage patient check-in, vital signs, sample collection, and preparation for examinations, ensuring a smooth patient flow.

The role requires basic medical duties, attention to detail, and strong communication. Onsite Full-Time positions offer benefits, training, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years as Medical Assistant in hospital, primary care, ED, or urgent care.
• CPOE certification within 2 weeks if MA cert not obtained at hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire.
• Graduate of nursing/LPN/LVN, EMT, or Paramedic acceptable at hire.
• One of the MA certifications listed (CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA, ARMA).

Responsibilities

• Register patients, verify insurance and eligibility.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists.
• Answer patient questions and inform of status.
• Prepare patients for examination and record medical history.
• Perform point-of-care testing and collect specimens.
• Maintain exam rooms and supplies, manage records.
• Open/close duties and daily cash handling.
