Charlotte Country Day School's Upper School seeks an experienced academic coach to support 9th/10th grade students transitioning to upper school. This role focuses on executive functioning, organization, time management, and study skills rather than direct content tutoring.

The part-time, hourly position offers up to 30 hours per week with a flexible schedule. You will guide students through challenging material using a coaching approach, foster independent learning, and collaborate with faculty

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in education, counseling, special education, or related field.
• Classroom teaching experience or as learning specialist or instructional coach.

Responsabilités

• Provide academic coaching to 9th/10th-grade students focusing on organization, time management and study strategies.
• Guide students through challenging material using a coaching-based approach rather than direct instruction.
• Help students break down complex assignments and apply problem-solving strategies.
• Foster independent learning and metacognition while collaborating with faculty.
